The Captain’s Log
Captain George Kotsonis was born and raised in New Smyrna Beach, where he grew up fishing the local waterways from the time he was old enough to hold a rod. Spending countless hours on the water helped him develop a deep knowledge of the area and a lifelong passion for fishing. That passion eventually led George to work as a mate on a sportsfishing charter boat, where he discovered what he loves most - helping others experience the thrill of catching fish and creating lasting memories on the water. Whether you're a seasoned angler or stepping onto a boat for the first time, Captain George is dedicated to providing a fun, safe, and unforgettable fishing adventure for anglers of all ages.
Founded in 2019, Poseidon Fishing Charters was born shortly after George earned his U.S. Coast Guard captain’s license and turned his lifelong passion for fishing into a business dedicated to creating memorable days on the water. After an incredible five-year run, Poseidon took a brief hiatus while Captain George upgraded to a new vessel and fine-tuned every detail to provide an even better experience for his guests. Now, Poseidon Fishing Charters is back and better than ever.
Your adventure begins aboard a 2025 Sea Hunt center console, powered by a 150-horsepower engine and designed for both performance and comfort. The boat features cushioned seating with backrests, a portable toilet inside the center console, and ample storage space for your personal belongings. A large cooler stocked with ice is provided for your drinks and snacks, and complimentary cold bottled water is included on every trip. Whether you’re chasing your next big catch or simply enjoying a day on the water, Poseidon Fishing Charters offers a comfortable, well-equipped, and family-friendly experience for everyone onboard!
